I am a developer with little knowledge of DTS packages and SSIS. I have stumbled across a problem with DTS packages that needs to be solved....

I have number of DTS packages that I do not want to migrate into SQL Server 2008. But what I DO want is to move the database the DTS packages connect to into SQL Server 2008. The DTS packages use UDL files with connection info and the new database server that I want to connect to is located on the same network as the server with the DTS packages. Does anyone know if this is possible? Can DTS packages on SQL Server 2000 connect to a database in SQL Server 2008?
